Here's a really simple recipe for people who enjoy a good, savoury breakfast.

Method

  1. Slice the cloves of garlic and sauté at a medium heat. When they start to turn golden, remove from the oil and set aside.

  2. Using the same oil, soak the slices of bread and brown on both sides using a low heat.

  3. Leave to cool and place 3 teaspoons of guacamole on each (you can also cut an avocado in half and use a teaspoon to remove its flesh to be spread on the bread).

  4. Add 2 or 3 pieces of smoked salmon and a few leaves of rocket and lettuce.

  5. Finish with a drizzle of oil and chopped spring onion.

  6. FINISHING THE DISH:
    Place 2 slices of toast per person on a flat plate and, on the toast, place the golden garlic slices you set aside previously.

CHEF'S TIPS:

- This dish can be accompanied by sour cream with a little grated lime zest.
- These slices of toast are a good source of energy and a great way to start the day.
- Any variety of garlic can be used to give it that Mediterranean touch.
