We have a simple, home-made remedy based on our great product – garlic – , that can help avoid (careful! AVOID or PREVENT, not completely eliminate) the awful consequences of a plant lice attack on plants.
A plant louse is an extremely small insect that is present from spring in dry settings. It makes a plant become greasy and sticky in texture.
These insects generate a substance with a high sugar content. This attracts ants and results in sooty mould. An infestation can easily arise if action is not taken quickly so what better way to avoid a terrible infestation than using a product as wonderful as garlic?
All you need to do is follow these four simple and quick steps to create the repellent:
- Cut up 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (white or purple) and flatten/crush them with a pestle and mortar.
- Boil 1 litre (2.1 pints) of water with the crushed cloves of garlic for 30 minutes.
- Wait for the water to cool and strain.
- Spray on the plant at sunrise or sunset.
We hope this works for you. Let us know how it goes!
