Hi!

We always say that we must begin the day with energy (and a piece of garlic clovewink), so today we have prepared a breakfast of Champions!

This Roll is very simple to do and is very comfortable to take it with you anywhere. The combination of ingredients is very rich and, like our Chef, we recommend adding some fruit to make it tastier.

Until the next recipe!

Ingredients

Method

  1. Peel and finely slice the cloves of white garlic.

  2. Chop the tomatoes, foie gras and mozzarella into slices.

  3. Pour a splash of oil into a pan over a medium heat and add the garlic. Once golden brown, remove it from the heat and put aside.

  4. Break the rolls in half and toast on both sides using the same oil.

  5. FINISHING THE DISH:

When it comes to assembling this dish, start by arranging a few leaves of spinach on the base bread roll. Next, layer on 2 slices of tomato and 1 slice of mozzarella. Season to taste and arrange a few slices of foie gras over the top.

  6. Top off by adding the sliced garlic and a splash of oil.

  7. Pop on the top half of the roll and you're done and dusted!

CHEF'S TIPS_Miguel Ángel Mateos:

- This dish makes for a great energy-boosting breakfast to kick start the day, or a perfect mid-morning snack.
- Feel free to swap the foie gras for paté, which you can give a quick once over on the frying pan.
- You can also add some fruit to this dish, such as some halved grapes or a few slices of peach or persimmon.
- If it takes your fancy, you can also add a few drops of sherry vinegar to add a little kick to the dish.
